We attended Maryland's first annual African-American authors book expo on Saturday Aug. 14th from 1-6 PM. It was a great atmosphere where many wonderful authors had booths set up.
I shared a table with fantastic author, L.M. Preston, who's written many young adult books. Check o
ut her website here and read her exciting books! It was really fun seeing her again. I'd met at the Key School Book Fair in April this year, and got a chance to read one of her books called "The Pack."
We met several other authors at AAAE and got lots of advice, and new ideas for the future. At the very end of the expo all the authors got awarded Certificates of Recognition from the City of Baltimore and the Mayor!
It was a new, fun expo and we hope it continues in the future.
